Tasca NowYOUR GUIDE TO GOOD FOOD
About me · TASCA NOW

A city to discover. One table at a time.

Hi, I’m Lucas, a Lisbon resident and the creator of Tasca Now. I love discovering new restaurants, going out to eat and getting to know the city through its food. I regularly write reviews of my experiences — a way to keep track of discoveries and share details that can help other people decide where to eat.

Why I created Tasca Now

For me, eating out is part of living in Lisbon. It is a chance to try new flavours, discover new places and find somewhere I want to return to.

Tasca Now grew out of that desire to discover and share. I wanted to create a guide to restaurants in Lisbon that would turn the question “where shall we eat?” into a starting point for getting to know the city better. A place to explore options, look up information and find inspiration for the next outing.

From traditional tascas to contemporary restaurants, the idea is to follow the curiosity of people who enjoy eating out and discovering what Lisbon has to offer.

A perspective from someone who lives here

Living in Lisbon feeds my curiosity about the city and its restaurants. I enjoy discovering new places, but also thinking about what makes an experience special and what would bring me back.

That is the personal perspective I want to bring to Tasca Now: the curiosity of someone who enjoys eating out and the care of someone used to sharing reviews. The aim is to help both Lisbon residents and visitors find a table that suits the occasion.

Personal experience and information in context

My passion for restaurants is at the heart of the project. The directory also brings together information and reviews from external sources; a restaurant appearing on the site does not, on its own, mean I have visited it.

I want Tasca Now to be useful for discovering options and making more informed choices. Reviews can help with that discovery, but everyone looks for something different in a meal — and getting to know a restaurant remains a personal experience.

Shall we discover the next table?
